Tatnall Giving Day FAQ
What is Tatnall Giving Day?
Tatnall Giving Day is a 1,930-minute fundraising campaign designed to commemorate the year that Mrs. Tatnall’s School for Girls was born. On this day, the Tatnall community far and wide will come together to be ALL IN support of the School’s growth and legacy.
As we near Tatnall’s centennial, we reflect on the remarkable enhancements in the last five years alone and we continue to push boundaries even further. These monumental achievements are a testament to Tatnall's visionary leadership and the remarkable generosity within our community from people like YOU!
When is Giving Day?
Thursday, May 1, 2025, beginning at 7:50 a.m. (ET) and concluding on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. (ET) (1,930 minutes).
Why should I participate?
Each year, The Fund for Tatnall relies on over 1,300 gifts of varying amounts to achieve its financial goal. Your participation in The Fund for Tatnall is a powerful way to display enthusiasm for the school’s mission and provides the school with a tremendous tool for compelling others to give. A gift of $25 from one person can mean as much as a $25,000 gift from another, and we genuinely appreciate each and every gift, no matter the amount.
The doors of Mrs. Tatnall’s School opened amid The Great Depression in 1930. Since that first day, scholarships provided tuition for many students whose backgrounds and scholastic aptitudes merited the financial assistance necessary to enable them to have the advantage of a private school education. The Fund for Tatnall continues to serve this purpose and fills the gap between revenue (tuition) and what it costs to run the school, ensuring the Tatnall experience is strong and vibrant each year and into the future.
Is there a minimum donation?
No. There is not a minimum donation amount that you must give on Tatnall Giving Day. Gifts of every size make a big impact and benefit every student.
Where do gifts go?
The Fund for Tatnall contributes essential financial resources to the effective operation of the school. These unrestricted funds finance salary increases for faculty, expand the financial aid budget, and increase investment in student programs, professional development, and innovative practices.
When we grow The Fund for Tatnall, we are creating a strategic financial advantage to invest in the future and enhance our reputation for excellence.
